Party In The Park 2009
On Saturday 15th August, Cheshire's Silk 106.9 hosted one of the area's biggest outdoor events of the Summer, as 5,000 music fans assembled in West Park to enjoy 5 hours of top live entertainment.
The evening got off to a cracking start as The Magic of Motown confirmed that the sounds of the Detroit are as much loved today as they were 50 years ago.
Complete with her live band, Gwen Dickey treated us to a few classics from her Rose Royce days, as well as some great 70's anthems which had the crowd bouncing.
Soul sensation Lemar headlined the event, with a jaw-dropping set featuring his own work with a few covers thrown in.
The night was polished off by a superb fireworks display and everyone went home having enjoyed a great night.
