<p><strong>Strikes Set to Affect East Cheshire</strong></p>
<p>Key services are set to grind to a halt next week, as unions insist strikes will go ahead.</p>
<p>The walkouts on Wednesday will see the closure of most schools in Macclesfield and east Cheshire, while some NHS operations are having to be rescheduled, and appointments and tests postponed.</p>
<p>The government is warning unions they risk losing the improved offer on pensions, if they walk out.</p>

<p><strong>Cyber Bullying Survey Launched in East Cheshire</strong></p>
<p>Twelve to 16 year olds in East Cheshire are being targeted by council bosses as they look at ways to tackle cyber bullying.</p>
<p>An online survey has been launched to find out how much of a problem it is.</p>
<p>Nationally, there&#8217;s been an increase in children being bullied via their mobiles, emails or on social networking sites like Facebook.</p>
<p>The results of the survey will be used to decide how best to stop the problem and  help those who are victims of it.</p>

There&#8217;s growing concern for a pregnant woman from Crewe, who has not been seen for six days.</p>
<p>31-year-old Katherine Dillon is believed to be almost eight months pregnant and was last seen on 10th November.</p>
<p>She&#8217;s described as white, 5ft 5in tall of slim build, and has dark brown curly hair.</p>
<p>Katherine was last seen wearing a grey smock with black leggings, a white jacket and trainers.</p>

Parents are being urged to ensure their children are vaccinated against measles.</p>
<p>Cases of the infection are increasing in Cheshire, and the Health Protection Agency says those who haven’t had the jab are most at risk.</p>
<p>Children and young adults are the most vulnerable.</p>

<p>RUBBISH SENT TO LANDFILL REDUCED IN CHESHIRE</p>
<p>Cheshire residents have managed to dramatically reduce the amount of rubbish being sent to landfill sites.</p>
<p>In just 12 months, Cheshire East Council cut garbage sent to tips by one thousand tonnes &#8211; saving £100,000.</p>
<p>Residents can now use one bin to recycle rather than having to sort it out at the kerb.</p>
<p>The local authority believes the move has contributed to the waste reduction.</p>
