Cheshire Man Wins Court Battle

A Cheshire man who was left paralysed after rescuing a woman on the motorway has won his legal battle.

After a woman had crashed on the M53,  David Tolley stopped to help her.

He moved the car, to prevent further crashes, but was struck by a van.

The insurance companies had contested liability, claiming Mr Tolley had been ‘the author of his own misfortune’.

Local Railways to Get Own Police Officers

The railways of Cheshire are to have their own version of neighbourhood Policing.

Stations such as Frodsham will have officers just for their area and the train services passing through them.

It is being introduced to give local people and passengers a greater say in how the network is policed.
